  • Monica Hunter is the Texas-based photographer behind Monica Hunter Photography. Monica's degree from Texas A&M University at Commerce is in photography, and she spends most of her time photographing people in a photojournalistic style.

    Monica is a member of WPPI (Wedding & Portrait Photographers International) and received the Bride's Choice Award for 2013, 2012 and 2011 from WeddingWire.

Tim + Kate Wedding, Part I

Tim and Kate were married in front of their family and friends at the beautiful St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Church in Dallas, Texas.

Sterling Weddings & Parties did the gorgeous bouquet (and all the florals) in addition to coordinating Kate and Tim’s wedding. Working with them was a dream!

Tim and Kate, documenting your day was completely amazing. Your family and friends are so kind…and fun. : )
And, Tim…I hereby publicly apologize for being skeptical about you cooking the main course for the reception.

Sweet Baby Olivia!

And now…a small break in the weddinganza…

I photographed Sweet Baby Olivia when she was six whole days old. She was so sweet…and, when she was awake, she was so alert! I already love this sweet little girl so much – I can’t wait to watch her grow up.

Jeremy + Renee Wedding, Part II

Jeremy and Renee were married at Delaney Vineyards in Grapevine, Texas. The delicious food was provided by No Worries Catering…and DJ Chris played the tunes. : ) Renee and her mom made the centerpieces…and her dad assisted them in making the cupcake displays. I love all the personal, handmade touches…it really helps shape a wedding into a reflection of the couple.

Jeremy + Renee Wedding, Part I

Jeremy and Renee were married at Delaney Vineyards in Grapevine, Texas.

I’ve known Jeremy and Renee since I was in college…and I once photographed a wedding where they caught the garter and bouquet!
I was so happy for them when they got engaged…and even happier when they asked us to photograph their wedding. : )

All the girls got ready with Renee, whose hair and makeup was done by Tracy Stout. The florals were provided by RainFlorist Designs.

Jesse + Samantha Wedding, Part II

After Jesse and Samantha were married, their reception followed at Pop’s Place in Texarkana, Arkansas. The reception was decorated by the maid of honor with vintage details the beautifully crafty bride created, assembled, or found. The mother of the groom made the wedding cake and cupcakes. Their CD favor cases had a beautiful graphic of the couple, designed by a friend of theirs.

It was one of those nights…where some people are dancing, some people are talking and laughing…some people are catching up with relatives…and it’s all magical. Everything blurs together a little bit…and everyone just becomes one big family.
