Joshua + Chelsey Wedding, Part I

Joshua and Chelsey were married at the Rockwall Wedding Chapel on October 29, 2011, in a sweet ceremony surrounded by their family and friends.

The day started for Chelsey at a salon in Ennis where she and her longtime friend and bridesmaid, Donia, got their hair done. After that, we went back to Chelsey’s parents’ home where she did her makeup, and everyone else got ready. (En route to Chelsey’s parents’ house, I snapped the shot of Kaufman High School – where Joshua and Chelsey went to school without knowing each other.) When it was time, we all caravanned to Rockwall Wedding Chapel, where Chelsey and her bridesmaids and Joshua and his groomsmen got ready.

Chelsey walked down the aisle on her father’s arm…toward Joshua. They included a sand ceremony with Chelsey’s son, Bryce…and, after Joshua kissed Chelsey – his new bride, the three of them walked back down the aisle and out of the church together.

Be sure to check back soon for Part II – The Reception!

Their engagement pictures can be found here.

Chelsey and Josh – you guys are so completely awesome! Thank you for being so welcoming and so kind (and so FUN) and for choosing me to document your wedding day. I am so glad you two found each other. XOXO

Brad + Randi – Engagements!

I’ve known this supersweet lady since high school…and we recently reconnected on facebook. Brad and Randi were kind enough to give us the grand tour of their home (where we met their adorable pups) and downtown Weatherford (Parker County Courthouse was recently historically restored)…and then we got caught in an epic downpour. Do you know how these two handled a little rain? They took us to what is now my favorite restaurant on the left side of the metroplex – Fire Oak Grill. We met again a couple of weeks later in the Fort Worth Stockyards…then stopped by the Moslah Shrine Building, where Brad first saw Randi, before we returned to the streets of downtown Weatherford to end the day.

The mural is by artist Brad Smith.

Brad and Randi – you guys are so much fun…and I’m SO glad I get to photograph your wedding. Randi…thanks for approving my friend request : ) I’m extraglad to have you back in my life! Also – we have same-named dads and same-named dudes and the exact same birthday. High five!

Brian + Darice Wedding, Part II

After their beautiful ceremony (click here to see those pictures), Brian, Darice and their guests moved to the pristine Oakmont Country Club in Corinth for the reception festivities. The team at Z Events had prepared the venue beautifully, and they continued their excellent coordinating throughout the evening. The delicious cakes were baked by JKL Designs, the flowers were by Rockstar Floral, the country club provided the food, and John Constantini of A-1 Entertainment provided the music.

Brian and Darice, we love you guys.

Darice Romero - so glad I don’t have to pick just one favorite!

Brian + Darice Wedding, Part I

Brian and Darice were married on October 15th in a beautiful afternoon ceremony at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Carrollton, Texas. The day was coordinated smoothly by the wonderful team at Z Events. The lovely floral arrangements were designed and provided by Rockstar Floral. The signs were created by the bride and groom.

We met Brian and Darice just over a year ago – their engagement shoot is here. Thank you, Brian and Darice, for choosing us to be your photographers… we’re still honored! 🙂 We’re also looking forward to being your photographers for as long as you’ll have us.

Coming soon: Part II – the Reception!

Sweet Baby Atlas.

After a couple of photo shoots with his mommy and daddy, sweet baby Atlas made his debut.

I was lucky enough to meet Atlas for the first time when he was less than twenty-four hours old.

We also split his “official” newborn shoot into two mini-shoots…one when he was three days old, one when he was ten days old.

We’re planning to photograph Atlas with these globes at each of his shoots (he’s another First Year Baby)…and, hopefully, by the time he’s a year old, we’ll be able to do a more traditional “Atlas” pose : )

Atlas – you are a very loved baby boy. When I stood and watched your mommy marry your daddy…I was secretly hoping they’d start a family soon. You’re even better than I could’ve imagined. I can’t wait to watch you grow up.
