For Steve and Taylor’s engagement shoot, we ventured out to the country…to the lovely grounds where they’ll be married next May.

Sweet Baby Grady. One Year.

Sweet Baby G can also be seen at his nine month shoot, his six month shoot, his three month shoot, and his newborn shoot.

R+B – Thank you so much for having such fabulous babies. If I didn’t already have you on the schedule for a family session, I’d be really sad about the end of the first year session era. 🙂
I’ll certainly miss seeing all of you every three months! Watching your babies grow up…and having the honor of photographing them…has been absolutely amazing. Thank you for letting me witness their little worlds.

monica - Sam – Yay!! There were SO many amazing moments – made possible by J, C, and all of you – thank you!! And it never ceases to amaze me how weddings come together…how they’re different and beautiful and how so many things happen in one day. It’s magical.

Jack + Cheri – Wedding I.

Jack and Cheri are so fantastic. I met them when we chatted about their engagement shoot…and I met their amazing family and friends when SuperAssistant Terry and I arrived in Colorado to photograph their wedding at Jack’s father’s home.

Cheri and her maids of honor started their day at the salon. After grabbing a quick nibble (woohoo partybox!), we arrived at Jack’s father’s house where Jack and Cheri would each get ready and the ceremony and reception would be held. Initially, the ceremony was going to be in the woods near the house, but the weather altered those plans. Within minutes of it becoming apparent the rain wasn’t subsiding, Jack and Cheri’s family, friends, and vendors converted the tent space, which was decorated for the reception, into a ceremony venue and created a way to keep the bridal party dry on their walk to the tent.
There was so much love.

I asked Cheri and Jack what moment of their wedding they think they’ll still be thinking or talking about in twenty years:

Cheri: Right now, the biggest moment for me is walking from the garage under the plastic, coming into the tent and seeing all the guests that had been so fantastically flexible, and my favorite moment – seeing Jack and walking towards him.

Jack: The fact that all of our guests made a makeshift gallery and aisle when we decided to get married in the reception tent was so fun and touching. The wedding procession walking under the cover of corrugated plastic was also hilarious. I won’t ever forget all of the smiles and laughs and the feeling when I saw Cheri – it was perfect.

Your wedding was so beautiful, Cheri and Jack. Love to you both (and to your family and friends) and to BaileyMonkey. Thank you so very much for sharing your lives with me. XO.

Be sure and check back for Part II – The Reception. Links to Jack and Cheri’s vendors are at the end of this post.

Rachel - These are awesome! Those two are a super adorable couple! Congrats to them!

Sweet Baby Grayson. One Year.

I got to photograph Sweet Baby Grayson again recently – his sixth month shoot is here – and I cannot believe he’s already a year old! Grayson is the son of Devon and Misti, who’s SuperAssistant Terry’s cousin. This time around, we had a few more family members along for the ride (Misti’s parents and sister got some Grayson pics too!). Grayson had a baseball-themed birthday party, so we had to get him out on a field! Fun fact: Grayson has attended more Texas Rangers games than I have this year. To wrap up the day, we all watched Grayson have cake – which I think is the best way to end any photoshoot. 🙂

Devon + Misti – you guys (and your folks and your sister) are all so awesome. Thank you for being so agreeable to anything I suggested – and for making that day so much fun. I hope you love your photos! Tell Grayson hi for me!
